Central Vermont

Here again we can offer a number of touring options. The Vermont Country Store in Weston is a well known business because of their catalog. The Calvin Coolidge (our 30th president) birthplace and homestead in Plymouth Notch is another popular spot. The White River Flyer is a 2 hour train ride which can be coupled with a stop at Quechee Gorge, a 165 ft natural ravine. Other attractions include the Vermont Marble Exhibit, Weston Priory, New England Maple Museum, and Wilson Castle.
Northern Massachusetts Day
Travel time 1 ¼-1 ½ hrs.
This day could begin with a tour of Historic Deerfield, a museum of New England history and architecture with a picnic lunch on the grounds. Next stop could be Yankee Candle or Kringle Candle or Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory. Also doable but a little further away is Cathedral of the Pines, which is a non-denominational outdoor Cathedral dedicated to those who have lost their lives in service to their country. This can be coupled with Kringle Candle or Grafton Cheese.
Other options further north in Vermont can also be part of your schedule, but would require longer than a 2 hour bus ride each way. We also have put together schedules including an overnight stay in Northern Vermont as well as in Maine. Let us customize a trip for your group soon!
